Zukhuta is a vibrant and culturally rich band based in Western Australia, led by Mozambican guitarist and singer Mahamudo Selimane and Kenyan vocalist Mararo Wangai, with Queency - a rising Afro-Australian artist - set to join as their new lead singer. Blending genres such as Afrobeat, soukouss, traditional African rhythms, and world music, Zukhuta is a deeply diverse and intergenerational collective that includes acclaimed musicians like Lucky Oceans (USA/AUS), Tom Greble (sax), and others from various musical and ethnic backgrounds. With members from Mozambique, Kenya, Australia, and the U.S., the band exemplifies inclusivity both culturally and artistically, bringing together performers of different ages and heritages.
