Brightside is a dynamic multicultural jazz ensemble led by award-winning drummer Daniel Susnjar, whose 20+ years of performing and recording experience set the pulse for the group. Daniel formed Brightside with some of Western Australia’s most promising young musicians - recent graduates from Edith Cowan University and the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAPA) - bringing fresh energy, creativity, and bold ideas to every performance.

Brightside’s sound is a vibrant fusion of jazz improvisation, Latin American rhythms, Afrobeat, and world music influences, reflecting Daniel’s rich cultural heritage. Known for their high-energy, rhythm-driven performances, the ensemble weaves complex polyrhythms, infectious grooves, and spontaneous improvisation into a sound that is both sophisticated and irresistibly engaging.
